Your team
A workspace holds your channels, posts, media, sets and signatures. Everyone you invite works in the same workspace and sees the same calendar.
Teammates are available depending on your plan. Each member takes a seat on your plan.
Roles
A workspace has three roles.
- Owner. The person who created the workspace. In the team list the owner shows as Super Admin.
- Admin. Manages the workspace with the owner.
- User. Plans and publishes posts, but does not manage the workspace.
| Owner | Admin | User | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Connect channels, write, schedule and publish posts | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Use media, Studio, sets and signatures | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Rename, disable, enable or delete a channel, or move it to a customer | Yes | Yes | No |
| See the Teams tab, invite people | Yes | Yes | No |
| Remove a User | Yes | Yes | No |
| Remove an Admin | Yes | No | No |
| See Billing in the left menu | Yes | Yes | No |
| Webhooks and Developers tabs | Yes | Yes | No |
| Approve an app or AI assistant that signs in with Postra | Yes | Yes | No |
A User does not see the Teams, Webhooks and Developers tabs at all. In a channel’s menu they do not see Move / add to customer, Rename channel, Disable Channel, Enable Channel or Delete. See Channels for what those do.
Invite someone
You need to be the owner or an admin.
- Open Settings, then the Teams tab.
- Click Add another member.
- Under Role, pick User or Admin.
- Choose how to send the invitation:
- To send an email, leave Send invitation via email? ticked, type their address under Email and click Send Invitation Link. You see Invitation link sent.
- To send the link yourself, untick Send invitation via email? and click Copy Link. Postra copies the link and shows Link copied to clipboard. Paste it into a message to your teammate.
The link works for 1 hour and only once. If it runs out, invite them again.
You can invite someone only while your plan has a free seat. To make room, remove a member.
Accept an invitation
Your teammate needs a Postra account and must be signed in when they open the link.
The link opens a page that asks Join followed by the workspace name. It says which role they were invited with and which account will join. They click Join to accept, or Cancel to leave without joining. After joining, they land on the calendar of the new workspace.
If the page says This invitation has expired, was already used, or you are already a member, ask for a new invitation. If it says the workspace has no free seats, the owner needs to free a seat or change the plan first.
Team list and removing members
The Teams tab lists everyone in the workspace, with a name taken from their email address and their role.
A Remove button appears next to members whose role is below yours:
- The owner can remove admins and users.
- An admin can remove users.
Click Remove. Postra asks Are you sure you want to remove this team member? Confirm with Yes, delete it!.
The person loses access to the workspace straight away. Apps they approved for it with “Sign in with Postra” stop working too. Their own Postra account stays.
No one can remove the owner, and the owner cannot remove themselves. A workspace always keeps its owner.
To give someone a different role, remove them and invite them again with the new role.
Switch between workspaces
If you belong to more than one workspace, a person icon appears in the top bar on a computer. Hover over it to see your workspaces, then click one. The page reloads in that workspace.
Channels, posts, media, sets and signatures belong to one workspace. Your language, time format and email notification choices stay with you. See Settings.
